for its 2024 edition.
My role involved researching and connecting with various self-publishing collectives and fanzines across Europe, bringing together a vibrant mix of voices and creative expressions. The market was a platform for independent publishers, who had the chance to exchange with a range of incredible artists and collectives including :
The duo Estelle Bouchet and Asia Calabró, TD Papeles, Gil Garriga, Beatriz Janer, Handshake, Faczine, Club El Prado, Leire Izaguirre, Maria Requena, Contrafotografia,
Tout e(s)t n'importe quoi!, Raum Press, Su Pergiu and the members of Can Grapes
Fostering Dialogue Through Independent Publishing:
These artists and collectives represented a diverse spectrum of contemporary self-publishing, each offering unique perspectives and challenging conventional narratives through their fanzines and independent publications.
The market was hosted at Cadaver Exquisit Studio, an ideal space that fostered an open and engaging environment for both exhibitors and visitors. It was a space where the exchange of ideas flowed freely. Curating this event allowed me to see firsthand the importance of collective and independent publishing as a medium for personal expression, collaboration, and critical engagement with society.
